We're coming for you GAWA: Mats Hummels issues playful warning to Northern Ireland

Germany defender Mats Hummels has issued a playful warning to his Northern Irish opponents.

He tweeted a picture from the plane to Belfast, as the world champions travel to Northern Ireland for Thursday evening's World Cup qualifying clash.

The NI supporters were quick to reply. Stuart Armour said: "Bring it! Big @laffk10 gonna give you nightmares! #GAWA"

@NI_Leeds tweeted: "Bring it on, packed Windsor Park with the #GAWA in full voice, a squad who fears no one, won't be easy for you. See ya tmrw. Safe travels"

Hummels developed a love for the Northern Ireland fans during the Euro 2016 finals.

Before the two sides clashed in France, he said: "We know that their players thrive off the emotions of their supporters and I think one tenth of the Northern Ireland population are here at the tournament. It's more difficult for us, we can't transport eight million people over here."
