Armagh and Fermanagh set for Croke Park showdown

Armagh have the highest points difference in the four divisions and have scored the most goals in a year when we are told that they have become extremely hard to come by, an average of two per game.

Quite a response to those that would have thought a team managed by Kieran McGeeney might be lacking in flair.

It would seem that the good people of a well-known turf accountant, who are offering odds of 1/8 on for Armagh to beat neighbours Louth tonight, are steeling themselves against any gaps in the market.

The Orchard County should win promotion tonight, before a dead rubber game to experiment with against Sligo ahead of the league final.

Joining them in that Croke Park encounter will be fellow Ulster side Fermanagh, who are not quite as tightly priced to get a win away to Wexford tomorrow, but tight all the same.

Victory there would see both teams on 11 points and looking forward to renewing their rip-roaring drawn battle at the start of the month.
