Rock and Brosna must do it all over again to see who reaches the All-Ireland Junior final after extra-time couldn't separate them at Ballinasloe yesterday afternoon.
The Tyrone side enjoyed a dream start when corner forward Eamon Ward found the net after only five minutes, but the Kerry men fought back with points from Thomas McGoldrick, Timmy Finnegan and Mike Finnegan.
Rock were struggling for possession but they still managed to close the first half out with points from Aidan McGarrity and Conor McCreesh to leave them 1-4 to 0-3 in front.
Brosna had the better of things in the third quarter and they closed the gap with points from Thomas Fitzgerald and McGoldrick.
It took Rock 17 minutes to open their second half account via defender Ryan Crilly but when Diarmuid Carroll added another score they looked set for victory.
With two minutes to play Adam Barry narrowed the gap and after McGoldrick knocked over another free, Barry sent over the equaliser to force extra-time.
In the first period of extra time McGarrity and McGoldrick traded points and that ended the scoring, leaving the two sides to do it all again.
Brosna finished the game with 14 men after Mike Finnegan picked up a second booking.
