Dublin's new work ethic was the key to their shock all-Ireland SFC quarter-final victory over Tyrone, according to ace attacker Bernard Brogan.
"We have been criticised for playing as individuals and you could see the team working for one another. Coming in as underdogs helped us," he said.
Manager Pat Gilroy admitted he was surprised by how well his side played.
"I was hoping that performance would come, but that surpassed our expectations so we're in bonus territory," he said.
"It was tremendous work from all 20 guys that we put out there. The team has grown in confidence and strength since we got beaten in Leinster and the route we have gone has been very productive for sure."
