Cluxton will take flight to Australia

Stephen Cluxton is ready to overcome his apparent fear of flying to play for Ireland in the International Rules in Australia.

Dublin's All-Ireland final match winner has committed himself to an away series for the first time and was the only member of the newly crowned All-Ireland champions present at training on Saturday morning.

He had missed the Dublin's squad's appearance on the Late Late Show on Friday night, shunning the spotlight he abhors but which has increased significantly since his winning kick nine days ago.

In the past Cluxton hat never committed to Ireland for previous international rules tests in Australia in 2003, 2005 and 2008 because of what he told respective management teams was a distaste for flying.
