Cork and Down to avoid colour clash

Croke Park chiefs have ruled that Cork and Down must wear alternate colours for the All-Ireland SFC final on September 19.

Due to a possible colour clash with both counties normally playing in red shirts, both will change for the Sam Maguire Cup decider.

The Rebels will wear white jerseys with a red trim, while Down will use a gold, red and black kit.

Both counties wore those colours in their last championship clash, the 1994 All-Ireland semi-final.
