Cork fightback stuns Galway

Cork had to come from behind to secure a 0-16 to 0-13 NFL Division One win over struggling Galway at Pearse Stadium.

Daniel Goulding, who finished with a 0-7 tally, pushed the Rebels into an early lead, but Matthew Clancy, Paul Conroy and Cormac Bane were on target as the Tribesmen took a 0-9 to 0-7 lead into the interval.

The All-Ireland champions sensed the danger, tightened up at the back, and tagged on the necessary scores through Goulding, Kevin O'Driscoll and Paddy Kelly to secure the win that keeps them in second place.
