Cork leave it late

Cork took the NFL Division One points from their clash with Down in a repeat of last year's All-Ireland final at Pairc Ui Rinn.

Pearse O'Neill grabbed their first goal after six minutes, and the Rebels led by 1-9 to 0-10 at half-time.

It was only in the final quarter that the home side pulled clear, with Colm O'Neill hitting a second goal, before Paddy Kelly sealed an 11 points win with a third in the dying moments, making it 3-17 to 0-15.

David Tubridy scored a hat-trick of goals as Clare handed out a heavy 5-10 to 0-4 defeat to London in a one-sided NFL Division Four tie at Cusack Park.

Alan Clohessy and Gary Brennan both hit the net in the first half to push the Banner men into a 2-3 to 0-3 lead.

All of Tubridy's goals came in the second half, as Clare, with wind advantage, strode to a comfortable 21 points win. Eoin O'Neill's scored all of London's four points.
