Coulter: I was in the square

Down attacker Benny Coulter has admitted he was in the square before scoring his crucial first half goal in the All-Ireland SFC win over Kildare.

"I think I was (in the square). I watched it on the big screen after and I think I was standing in it. These things go with you and sometimes they don't," he said.

And Coulter paid tribute to playmaker Marty Clarke, who has been a revelation since returning from a career in Aussie Rules.

He said: "He's a good outlet from the defence to get the ball to him and he more or less sets up everything. His fitness, tackling and work rate and everything about him are immense. His professionalism and his approach are brilliant."
