Counihan deliberated over return
Cork's All-Ireland winning manager Conor Counihan has revealed that he agonised over his decision to commit to another year with the Rebels after winning the Sam Maguire Cup last September.
"It's a big undertaking when you have family and work commitments and all of that," he said.
"But, on balance, I certainly got the feeling from the players that they were anxious to give it another go.
"Everybody else in the backroom team was prepared to give it a go again and that certainly was a major factor in terms of deciding to come back."
