Croke clash on camera

The GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee, the chairman of which is Seamus Woods (Tyrone), looks set to review television footage of an incident which occurred while the Dublin and Cork teams were leaving the Croke Park playing arena at half-time on Sunday.

The television cameras captured a confrontation between Cork skipper Michael Shields and Dublin defender Philip McMahon in which blows appeared to be struck and the duo could now face disciplinary sanctions.

The CCCC will await the report of referee Joe McQuillan (Cavan).
