Derry boosted by return of key players

By Staff Reporter

Derry manager Damian McErlain is relieved to have a full-strength side on duty for tomorrow's All-Ireland Minor Football Championship semi-final against Dublin at Croke Park (2.00pm).

McErlain was forced to amend his side just prior to the quarter-final victory over Sligo when key defenders Conor McCluskey and Simon McErlain, along with full-forward Lorcan McWilliams, were ruled out.

The return of McCluskey and McErlain will now undoubtedly bolster the back division, while McWilliams brings an imposing presence to the full-forward line.

McErlain believes that total concentration is essential if his team are to come out on top.

"Dublin will have huge support and they have shown themselves to be a very capable team," states McErlain.

"When we had to go in against Sligo without three of our regular players we always knew it was going to be tough, but thankfully we came out on the right side in that game.

"Now we are very pleased to be back at full-strength."
