Dublin set up Tyrone clash

Dublin and Tyrone will contest the National Football League final at Croke Park on April 28.

Dublin defeated Mayo by 2-16 to 0-16 in their semi-final clash, with Paul Mannion and Jason Whelan hitting their goals in the first half.

The Dubs led by 2-9 to 0-8 at the interval, with Diarmuid Connolly and Bernard Brogan hitting superb points.

Cillian O'Connor responded with a string of scores, but the Connacht side never looked like overhauling their opponents comfortable lead.

Tyrone had skipper Stephen O'Neill in sparkling form as they saw off Kildare by 2-15 to 2-11 in the other semi-final.

Mattie Donnelly and Mark Donnelly were the Red Hand goalscorers, with Paddy Brophy and paul Cribbin netting for the Lilywhites.

It was O'Neill who produced two flashes of magic in the closing stages, firing over wonderful points to clinch the victory for the Ulster side.
