Duo as joint Cavan managers

Val Andrews and Terry Hyland have been ratified as joint managers of the Cavan football team.

The pair, who succeed Tommy Carr, have been handed a three-year term with a review after the second.

It will be Andrews' second stint with the Breffni men. He was in charge from 1998 to 2001, and later managed Louth, as well as the Leinster inter-provincial team.

Cavan native Hyland is currently in charge of the county's U21 team, and served as a selector with Andrews during his previous spell in Cavan.
