Fermanagh’s James Daly

First off, a replay on August 13th plays havoc with Fermanagh manager James Daly’s schedule.

He is set to fly out to Portugal to get married this week. Now, circumstances might dictate a few things.

“We will just have to deal with that,” he smiled.

“We have a contingency plan in place. I was joking about this before, I am supposed to come back on the 13th, the game is on the 13th, so that will have to be changed.

“I am going to get married either way and have a nice wee time in Portugal, but we are still in the Championship. And every teams’ goal when they set out is to win the All-Ireland.”

While Antrim lead for the vast majority of this game, they will be able to call on the services of Michelle Magee, who will be freed up from netball commitments at the Commonwealth Games.

Manager Emma Kelly felt the team dealt with the occasion better this time after a heavy defeat to Wicklow in last year’s decider.

“Last year, I think there was too much hype with the occasion. This year we tried to sail away underneath and just enjoy it, but realise that it is a grass pitch with two posts,” she stated.
