Galway unhappy with final venue

Galway GAA chiefs have demanded an immediate meeting with president Christy Cooney and director general Paraic Duffy over the decision to award Tipperary home advantage for the All-Ireland U21 hurling final.

Galway Hurling Board chairman Joe Byrne said they have requested the talks because they felt they were not being listened to.

"We are not going to let this go. We made representations straight after the semi-final. We wrote to the management committee on Tuesday and have not heard anything," he said.

"At this stage Galway want a meeting with Christy Cooney and Paraic Duffy and we want to discuss this with them. Time is running out but there is still time to move this game to a neutral venue."
