Gavin gets second term at Dublin

Jim Gavin has been reappointed Dublin U21 football manager for 2011 after leading the county to an All-Ireland title this year.

A member of the last Dublin team to win the Sam Maguire Cup, back in 1995, Gavin will once again be assisted by selectors Declan Darcy, Shane O'Hanlon and Jim Brogan.

This year's campaign included narrow wins over Louth, Carlow and Westmeath in Leinster, followed by a comfortable All-Ireland semi-final victory over Roscommon.

In the All-Ireland final, Dublin survived a missed Michael Murphy penalty in the last minute to defeat Donegal for a first U-21 title in seven years.
