Howlin undecided on GAA role

Leinster Council chairman Sheamus Howlin will not make a decision until the New Year on whether he will run for the GAA presidency.

Howlin has been nominated by the Wexford county board, but has decided to wait before he declares whether he will allow his name to go forward.

Liam O'Neill of Laois, Tipperary's Con Hogan and former Ulster Council chairman Tom Daly have already declared their intention to run.

Howlin has served as chairman of the Wexford county board and the GAA's Overseas Committee in Croke Park.
