Kavanagh wary of Crokes threat

Nemo Rangers defender Derek Kavanagh won an All-Ireland title with Cork last September, but he has insisted that club football is equally as difficult as the inter-county game.

And he's preparing himself for one of the toughest encounters of his career on Sunday, when he will be handed the job of marking Kerry star Colm Cooper in the Munster Club SFC final against Dr Crokes

"When you talk about playing club football, you think you might be coming down a little in standard, but the standard is always your direct opponent, and with the Gooch, you're playing against the best of our generation," said Kavanagh.

"It's no easy task, but if we win it, it will be all the more special, but the danger is always there."
