Fermanagh have received a ringing endorsement in relation to their sustained drive for promotion to Division Two of the Allianz Football League from a rather unexpected source.
Most teams expect opposition managers to trot out the usual platitudes when a division of the spoils is the outcome of a particular confrontation but rather than resort to banal comments in the wake of his side's draw with Peter McGrath's reinvigorated outfit, Armagh boss Kieran McGeeney has pinpointed just why they are a force to be reckoned with.
Fermanagh are at home to Limerick tomorrow and a fourth victory in five games would see them take a big step towards Division Two.
"Fermanagh have always produced good footballers. The county may not always get fully recognised but they have a lot going for them," says McGeeney.
"When you look at the two Corrigans, Ruairi and Tomas, and Sean Quigley you are looking at quality. The Corrigans do a lot of work even if they don't get the same headlines as others do."
