Kildare claim O'Byrne Cup

Two late goals gave Kildare a dramatic victory over Louth in the O'Byrne Cup final.

The Lilywhites trailed by eight points late in the first half, after Derek Maguire had hammered in two goals for the Wee County.

Pauric O'Neill reduced the deficit with a goal, and they drew level in the dying moments when Ronan Sweeney netted a penalty.

The decider appeared to be heading for extra-time, but Keith Cribbin scored a third Kildare goal to seal victory by 3-9 to 2-9.
