Lynch announces retirement

Cork defender Anthony Lynch has announced his retirement from inter-county football.

He won an all-Ireland medal in 2010, and was also honoured as an All-Star on two occasions.

Lynch (34) represented Ireland twice in the International Rules series.

His involvement in the Rebels had been restricted in recent series due to injury.

He is the second Cork player to end his career in as many days, following John Miskella's retirement.
