McCarthy leaves Laois

Teddy McCarthy has resigned as Laois hurling manager, after just one season in the job.

The former Cork star cited work commitments as his reason for stepping down, adding that he feels unable to devote the time necessary due to the travel distance involved.

Laois lost heavily to Dublin in the Leinster Championship and to Limerick in the All-Ireland Qualifiers.
