McEneaney gets Monaghan top job

Eamonn McEneaney has been appointed Monaghan football manager for a second time.

He succeeds Seamus McEnaney, and will also manage the county's U21 team.

McEneaney, a former Monaghan star, previously managed the Farney men from 1996 to '99.

After spending four years with Louth from 2005 to 2009, he was night ratified for three years by county board delegates, seeing off competition from Bernie Murray and Mick O'Dowd in the process. His selectors will be Stephen McGinnity and Declan Smyth.
