Monaghan players back McEnaney

The Monaghan senior football squad has unanimously backed calls for Seamus McEnaney to be reappointed as manager.

And the players have hit out at the county board, after it called for nominations for the post McEnaney has held for the past six seasons.

In a statement, the squad also expressed serious concerns over the recent actions of club delegates.

"The players unanimously back Seamus McEnaney to continue as Monaghan team manager. We were delighted when Seamus indicated that he was willing to continue as team manager," said the statement.
