Mulryan calls time on career

Tipperary midfielder Kevin Mulryan has been forced to retire due to a persistent ankle injury.

The 29-year-old made his debut for the Tipp footballers in 1999, and has been one of the county's most consistent performers for more than a decade.

He underwent surgery last year in an attempt to correct the problem, but has been forced to succumb to the injury.

His final appearance was at Croke Park, when Tipperary lost to Dublin in an All-Ireland SFC Qualifier tie last July.
