Murphy blasts All-Star selectors
Cork secretary Frank Murphy has hit out at the All-Star selectors for failing to honour a single Rebel forward following their All-Ireland SFC triumph.
In his report to annual convention, Murphy expresses his surprise that none of the four attackers nominated, including All-Ireland final man of the match Daniel Goulding, made the selection.
"The omission of a Cork forward was to say the least somewhat surprising," he says.
Murphy also praised manager Conor Counihan for the shrewd use of substitutions in the latter stages of the title decider against Down.
"The introduction of experienced players in the second period bore dividends and the team played with more composure."
