O'Connor retains Kerry top job

Kerry manager Jack O'Connor has been handed a new three-year term by county board officials.

And former goalkeeper Diarmuid Murphy will replace Eamonn Fitzmaurice as a selector. Ger O'Keeffe is also to continue as a selector.

O'Connor's future had been in doubt following a shock All-Ireland SFC quarter-final defeat to Down.

But he made it clear that, having guided the Kingdom to three Sam Maguire Cup triumphs, he wants to return for another glory bid in 2011.
