O'Connor wants clean bill of health

Kerry boss Jack O'Connor is keeping his fingers crossed that a clutch of key players come through their midweek Sigerson Cup games unscathed, as he prepares for a difficult NFL Division One clash with Mayo at Castlebar on Sunday.

"We have several panellists involved in Sigerson Cup games this week: Jonathan Lyne, Brian Maguire, Peter Crowley, Anthony Maher, David Moran, Barry John Walsh, Gary O'Driscoll and Daithi Casey. We hope all of these players come through these games unscathed," O'Connor told the Kerry GAA website.

The Kingdom lost their opening game to All-Ireland champions Cork, while Mayo fought back to earn a draw with Down.
