O'Gara leads Dubs to victory

Eoghan O'Gara produced a sparkling attacking performance to inspire Dublin to a 1-12 to 1-9 NFL win over Laois at O'Moore Park.

O'Gara hit a 1-6 tally, all from play, while Diarmuid Connolly and Tomas Quinn also fired over impressive scores.

The Dubs led by 0-7 to 0-6 at half-time, with Colm Kelly and Ross Munnelly keeping the home side in touch.

Munnelly blasted home a spectacular goal to give Laois renewed hope, but it was O'Gara who sealed the points for the All-Ireland champions with a late goal.

Mayo made it two wins from two with a 1-14 to 0-11 win over Armagh at the Athletic Grounds.

Andy Moran's eighth minute goal helped Mayo to a seven points lead, but after Aidan Forker hit three Armagh scores, the visitors led by 1-7 to 0-6 at half-time.

Forker brought his tally to six, but Alan Freeman, Conor Mortimer and Enda Varley shared 13 points to clinch it for the westerners.
