O'Neill calls for club support

The clubs in Carlow have been urged to make their best players available to the county football and hurling teams in 2011.

County secretary Tommy O'Neill makes the appeal in his report to annual convention, in response to complaints from managers that they have not had access to the best talent available.

"Support of clubs for our county teams must be fully implemented. Without our better players we will not prosper. If your clubman is involved with a county team he will progress and be a better clubman for your team," says O'Neill.
