O'Neill steps down

Cian O'Neill has stepped down as the Tipperary senior hurling team's physical trainer.

The county board revealed in a statement on Thursday that Dr O'Neill will not be part of manager Declan Ryan's set-up in 2012.

The board thanks him for four years of 'outstanding service', the highlight of which was last season's All-Ireland triumph.

"Cian made a very significant contribution to the Tipperary senior hurlers over those years and played a very important part in the team's successes since 2008, including last year's All-Ireland victory, three Munster titles and one National League," said the statement.
