Railway Cups revival bid underway

Moves to revive the Railway Cups are afoot in Clare.

A motion is to be put before the county convention seeking Congress to put together a task force to revive the competitions in football and hurling.

The motion comes from Miltown Malbay, home club of Noel Walsh, a long-time advocate of the inter-pro series and former Munster selector.

The Inter-provincial series was not played in 2010 and have not appeared on the official fixture list for 2011.
