Training ban to be reviewed

The Gaelic Players' Association have called for a review of the winter training ban.

The organisation wants to see a more flexible approach to replace the current regulation, which prevents county squads from training collectively during November and December.

"We have started the process and we will be expressing our views to relevant authorities after Christmas,"said GPA spokesman.

"It's something we have already put on the record. One set closed season doesn't fit all." he told the Sunday Independent.
