Tyrone edge thriller to win title

Tyrone held on in a thriller to win their eighth All-Ireland MFC title with a 1-13 to 1-12 win over Cork at Croke Park.

A 20th minute harry Og Conlon goal gave Tyrone an eight points lead, but three Brian Hurley frees helped Cork close the gap to three.

The Red Hands led by 1-6 to 0-5 at half-time, and restored the eight points advantage after John McCullagh brought his tally to five points, but a Kevin Hallissey goal sparked another Rebel revival, with Dan McEoin hitting his sixth point to narrow the gap to one, but the Red Hands survived.
