Reigning Tyrone senior football champions Coalisland face their biggest test to date in their bid to retain the trophy when they meet Trillick in tomorrow's semi-final at Pomeroy (1.30).

With current Red Hands defensive aces Padraig Hampsey and Michael McKernan joined by Plunkett Kane, Niall Kerr, Paddy McNeice, Brian Toner and Peter Herron in a fired-up outfit, the title-holders are primed to engage an even higher gear.

They will certainly require to do so as Trillick, with the extremely capable Donnelly brothers Mattie and Richie linking up with the accomplished Brennan pairing of Lee and Rory, will provide a formidable challenge.

In the other semi Errigal Ciaran will take on Carrickmore at Dungannon (5.00). Peter Harte has been wielding his influence within the Errigal side as have Ben McDonnell and Aidan McCrory while Darragh Canavan is steadily amassing scores.

In tonight's second semi-final in the Down Championship, Kilcoo will confront Clonduff at Pairc Esler, Newry (7.30). Mickey Moran is keeping Kilcoo very much in the limelight with Paul Devlin and Conor Laverty particularly lively up front.

In the Ulster Ladies Senior Club Football Championship quarter-finals tomorrow, Donegal representatives Termon will meet Clan Eirann while Tyrone's St Macartan's will face Cavan outfit Crosserlough.
