Darren Clarke has taken over from Rory McIlroy as favourite for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
Bookmakers Paddy Power have Open champion Clarke at 1/2, with US Open champion McIlroy pushed out to 7/4. The Sandwich action was on BBC Television, while McIlroy's eight-shot victory in Washington was covered by Sky Sports.
The 22-year-old is favourite to become Ireland's next major winner, however.
He is 4/7, with last year's US Open champion Graeme McDowell 3/1, Padraig Harrington 6/1, Clarke 14/1 and Shane Lowry, who won the Irish Open as an amateur two years ago, listed at 20/1.
