Lawrie lets lead slip

Irishman Peter Lawrie failed to build on his impressive start at the Trophee Hassan II in Agadir as he shot a five-over-par second round of 76 on Friday.

Lawrie held a three-stroke overnight lead after an opening 64, but he finds himself three shots off the lead at halfway after a frustrating second round.

Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke is just a shot adrift of joint-leaders Rhys Davies and Joost Luiten after back-to-back rounds of 69 which leaves him on five under.

High winds affected performances in Morocco, where the field have been split over the Golf De L'Ocean and Golf Du Palais Royal courses in a pro-am format for the first two days.
