Lawrie second in Chengdu
Peter Lawrie finished in a tie for second at the Volvo China Open as Nicolas Colsaerts claimed his first title on The European Tour.
The Irishman began the day two shots adrift of Colsaerts who held the overnight lead but his impressive round of 68 was not enough to overheaul the Belgian who shot a 66 to finish on 24 under, four shots clear of Lawrie, Soren Kjeldsen, Danny Lee and Pablo Martin.
Northern Irishman Gareth Maybin was a further three shots back after posting a 67 with Damien McGrane finishing on 14 under, five shots clear of Michael Hoey and six ahead of Shane Lowry who finished seven under.
Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley both failed to make the cut.
