Phil Mickelson is clearly a member of the Rory McIlroy fan club and can see him winning multiple Masters.
"I think that he's an incredible player. That you could tell when he first came out," said Mickelson, himself a three-time winner at Augusta National.
"I think, like everybody here, you can see his talent and his ability. He plays without fear, which is a great way to play."
He added: "When you get soft conditions like at the US Open he's going to light it up - and I think that he's going to continue his great play.
"If he ends up learning this golf course I think he's going to win here a number of times."
Jack Nicklaus has the most green jackets with six. Next are Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer with four, so Mickelson could join them this weekend.
"It's my favourite week of the year and I just enjoy every minute of it," he said.
This is the event where Mickelson finally ended a long quest for a first major in 2004.
Ever since then, he says, he has not felt pressure, just excitement.
"Every time this week came around I was excited to get my game geared up, to try and build off of that first win already knowing that I'm going to be a part of this tournament every year."
