McIlroy trails in Miami

Rory McIlroy found himself well off the pace after two days at the WGC Cadillac Championship despite a stunning start to his second round.

The World number one began eagle-birdie in Miami on Friday but could not maintain that pace and finished the day with a 69 to leave him two under, 10 shots off the lead held by American Bubba Watson.

Fellow Ulsterman Graeme McDowell was also two under after two rounds while Open champion Darren Clarke sat on four over after shooting 74 on consecutive days.
