Ulster's top young amateurs are eyeing up the chance to get a flavour of the European Tour through a new qualifying event to be held at Hilton Templepatrick.
It's a pre-qualifier for the Northern Ireland Open Challenge being played at Galgorm Castle at the end of next month on the European Tour's Challenge Tour.
The 18-hole strokeplay event will be held on Wednesday, August 13 with the top three finishers making it into the field for the big Galgorm showdown.
The event is open to amateurs who play off a scratch handicap or better as well as to professionals.
A spokesman for the Challenge Tour said: "It marks another opportunity to tee it up alongside Europe's rising stars and household names such as Ryder Cup players Oliver Wilson and Phillip Price.
"Northern Ireland Open Tournament Ambassador Michael Hoey will also be competing at Galgorm Castle, where the five-time European Tour winner is the club's touring professional."
The cost of entry is £95 (€120) and forms can be downloaded from galgormcastle.com
