Pieters hopes he has given Bjorn a Paris dilemma

Thomas Pieters hopes he has forced his way into the reckoning for a Ryder Cup wildcard after his strong performance in the US PGA Championship.

Pieters carded a final round of 66 at Bellerive Country Club to finish in a tie for sixth place.

The 26-year-old Belgian won a record four points on his Ryder Cup debut at Hazeltine in 2016 and would love to be part of Thomas Bjorn's European team which will try to regain the trophy at Le Golf National in Paris next month.

He said: "The Ryder Cup is not in my hands, I don't think I can play my way in. If I need a pick hopefully I get a pick. It's going to get him (Bjorn) thinking."
