Missing out on winning the final Major of the year is always the one that hurts the most to players.

Why? Because it means you have to wait nine months for the next one when the Masters rolls around in April. Sure, there’s the FedExCup and, to a lesser extent, the Race to Dubai to tide you over until then, and this year there’s the added bonus of the Ryder Cup, too. But nothing is ever quite as thrilling as being in contention at a Major.
