Graeme McDowell, the only Northern Irishman left in the field at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush, is out early in Saturday's action.

The Rathmore man made the halfway cut on the mark at one-over par in a thrilling finish to the tournament's second day of action and, as a result, is out at 9.55am in the third round.

McDowell will be partnered by two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson in the third pairing of the day's action, which will be our marquee group in our Open live blog coverage tomorrow.

The final pairing of Ireland's Shane Lowry and J.B. Holmes, who are both at eight-under, will tee off at 3.50pm, with the penultimate pairing an all-English affair of Lee Westwood and Tommy Fleetwood (both -7) at 3.40pm.

There are some tasty pairings later in the day, with US Ryder Cup team-mates Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele (both -3) out at 1.55pm, while Jon Rahm and Patrick Reed (-4) are paired together at 2.40pm.

Among the later starters, World No.1 Brooks Koepka (-5) and England's Justin Rose (-6) form a heavyweight pairing at 3.20pm, while defending champion Francesco Molinari is in the second group of the day at 9.45am.

Due to an odd number players of making the cut, a marker will partner the odd man out, and it is believed that it will be Royal Portrush professional Gary McNeill who will play with Paul Waring tomorrow in the first pairing at 9.35am.
