Tickets for THREE tournament days at the 2019 Open Championship have sold out
Tickets for three of the tournament days at the 2019 Open Championship at Royal Portrush have sold out.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday have all reached full capacity while weekly and weekend bundle tickets are also gone with over 11 months still to go until the tournament tees off.
No Open Championship has ever sold out and the 148th edition will smash this year's attendance record of 172,000. A fifth of the entire capacity was sold in the opening 48 hours of sales and the pace has kept up.
The tournament takes place from 18-21 July next year and you can still get tickets for Thursday's opening day of tournament action as well as the practice days from Sunday 14th to Wednesday 17th.
Should every day sell out, 190,000 golf fans will come through the Royal Portrush gates.
The historic course is also the venue for the European Tour's record attendance when 112,000 supporters attended the 2012 Irish Open.
How can I get tickets to the 148th Open Championship?
If you're intending to go, it might be wise to snap up a ticket quickly. You can do it by clicking right here on the Open Championship website.
How much are the tickets?
Well that all depends on which day or days you want to go on. Tickets for the first practice days can be bought for as little as £15 for adults (Sunday), ranging up to £30 (Wednesday).
For the tournament Thursday, you'll pay £80.
Are there any full week or weekend packages?
Funny you should ask that - there are! (EDIT: Or were until they sold out)
A full week ticket would have set you back £230 for an adult or you could have got a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) pass for £115 for an adult.
What about youths and juniors?
Juniors (Under 16s) go FREE when accompanied by a paying adult.
If you're aged 16-24, you get some discount. Your prices are as follows: Practice days: £10-£20, Thursday/Friday: £30, Saturday/Sunday: £35, Full week: £110, Weekend: £60.
And car parking?
The Open offer parking at their park and ride facilities for £15 per day (Wednesday - Sunday) or £10 for the early practice days. A week's parking is £60 per day and the weekend pass is £25. Make sure to book your spot when you're buying your tickets.
