Good start for Saywell
British showjumper Louise Saywell continued her impressive form by making a strong start to the Dublin International Horse Show.
Lincolnshire-based Saywell, third in last Saturday's Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Hickstead, secured second and third placings in the two feature classes.
Riding Quantas, she finished runner-up to London 2012 individual bronze medallist Cian O'Connor in the Bewley's Hotel Speed Stakes.
And third spot on Hello Winner followed in the Irish Sports Council Classic, a competition won by 17-year-old Irish rider Bertram Allen aboard Romanov.
The show's centrepieces are Friday's FEI Nations Cup and the Grand Prix of Ireland on Sunday, classes that will feature many of the world's top performers.
