Kate expectations: Ireland captain Katie Mullan will lead her team out against the Dutch in Amsterdam

It was close to 9.30am when players and coaches with the Ireland women’s hockey team gathered in a meeting room at the Sport Ireland Institute last Tuesday week.

Time is tightening ahead of the start of the Women’s Hockey World Cup and this was one of the final home-based meetings for the squad to try and consolidate their game plan for the world stage.
