Kilkeel beat Mossley in shoot out to win first ever Kirk Cup title

Kilkeel have won their first ever Kirk Cup, beating Mossley 3-2 on penalty shuffles after a 1-1 draw.

The result denied Mossley their second win in Ulster's premier kick-out hockey competition.

Ryan Cunningham opened the scoring soon after half-time, firing home after a great save.

That lead lasted only a couple of minutes as Jordan Robinson soon converted a flick when a shot was blocked on the line by a stray foot.

That sent the tie to penalties, where Kilkeel won 3-2.

Earlier in the day at Stormont, Queen's beat Ulster to win the Ulster Denman Shield for the first time in a very long time.
