We've learnt tough lesson, says skipper
Ireland captain Katie Mullan insisted her side would learn the painful lessons of a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Korea in yesterday's FIH Hockey Series final.
Nicci Daly's late goal at Havelock Park was little consolation, although the result has no bearing on Ireland's Olympic ambitions.
"Unfortunately we were unable to put the cherry on the cake and we can take away a lot of lessons from the game but the initial target was to finish in the top two and we did that," said Mullan.
"But we are obviously gutted not to have won the final which would have given us more world ranking points," added the Coleraine woman.
